My husband and I are looking at properties for sale in gainesville and I was wondering what kind of neighborhood cedar grove, the address we are specifically looking at is: 911 ne 23rd street gainesville, fl 32641 Thanks!

As a general rule a lot of the crime in Gainesville occurs east of Main Street. Your address appears to be over that way.

yeah, the best neighborhoods are NW and SW of the city. There's also a lot of stuff near downtown and the university that probably should be avoided unless you like being around thousands of young drunken college kids.

This is very true. The SE/NE part of town is generally know as the bad part of town. NW is deal and SW is full of college kids who attend UF. I would go for the NW part of town-it's closer to the mall which is better-IMO-plus is WAY away from UF.

I agree with you here-at least the NW part of town has the mall-but the SW part of town is full of sororities, fraternities, and UF kids. Too congested with college kids if you ask me

Gainesville is growing to the west. You'll want to find a home in the west side of town, west of I75 would be preferable.
