Basically everything I do in the winter... only it's hotter.

Swim, walks along the intracoastal, eat out, barbecue, kayak, jet ski.... I even went to Sea World this past weekend and was dreading the heat, but it actually wasn't too bad.

We hibernate too from Mid-May through November. Its just way to hot outside, the pool is usually the temp of a bathtub because its so hot outside from June-October, so its not that refreshing.

I have been here all my life. I didn't know it gets hot in the summer untill some yankee told me so.

I have to admit, the heat didn't bother me so bad before I got old and fat.

When I was growing up, if you wanted air conditioning, you had to go to the bank or the movie theatre. Only the rich folks had AC, and that was usually just a window shaker in the bedroom.

If we say it's cold during the summer, do you think they'd believe us?

Hahaha, I loved this.

So, no matter where you live be it Maine, Oregon or Florida, there will always be a season where it is just not too pleasant outside. I have to choose between staying in the house from December to April here in Oregon, or May to November in Florida. Waaa.

Just wonderin'.
Heres what i do in the Panhandle during the summer :

1. Go to the beach almost every weekend. Sometimes twice per week. I love beach hoppin' !
2. Go tubing down the BlackWater River nearby and go tubing down a spring-fed creek called Turkey Creek.
3. Go RVing at nearby State Forests and Parks.
4. Do activities with my Church Singles Ministry which includes going to a nice restaurant each month.
5. Go pistol shooting outdoors with my guy friends.
6. Do yard work, etc..either in the morning or after dinner .
6.a. Listen to live music at The Park or on the Coast .
7. I dont normally turn the a/c on till 4 pm and I have to be home too. You do need to make sure your home and car a/c's are up to snuff. In the Panhandle, its just 3 very hot and humid months -- the rest of the time is very very nice out, especially the winter months when its 60-70 f during the day and 40-50 f. at night.

Im MORE than willing to put up with the summer heat for the spring , fall, and winter .

Actually, we go out & savor the town while it's empty! No fighting for seats in bars/restaurants/movies, etc...(well, that may not change too much with the economy come this winter)...

I, personally, don't think the humidity has been that bad this summer, at all. Nights have been beautiful & comfortable.

I tend to get all my outside stuff done first thing in the morning on weekends. Then take a nap in the afternoon. Then make a nice dinner.

Wait. I do the same thing in the winter.
