That is supported by lower Hurricane activity. In the past 13 years we've only had 2 strike Florida, and in the
13 years prior to that we had 7 strikes, and last Cat5 was Andrew 26+ years ago. This all means it's cooling.

Anyone that's lived in Florida at least 15 years can give some insight. One of those debating strongly on this thread has been in Florida 1.5 years and would argue with a stone all day long over political stances. Just sayin'
Yes. My coworkers and I work outdoors and we are all complaining that’s it’s warmer than in the past, for longer stretches of time. It also seems like the sun just feels more intense.

Remember about 10 years ago when we had that 2 week or so cold spell? I remember riding my bike to the TriRail and it was in the 30s. People were wearing gloves and shivering at the station. It was kinda fun.

We used to wish for October because it would get cooler. Oh, well.

A few years ago it was in the 80s on Halloween night. I haven’t tracked the temps for other years.

I just want to live in a neighborhood with more trees! Here they are afraid large trees would destroy homes during hurricanes. I’m willing to take the risk.

The neighbors that keep the mature trees are just so much nicer. I’m so tired of the sod and seedling subdivisions.

You see, even the Libs in Berkeley say it's cooling! You all need to get off the warming bandwagon and get with the program...the climate change program. Global warming is passe...old school. It can no longer be defended.

It is none of the above love.

This is a normal short 1500 year warming cycle. The ramp up in heating will be unreal over the next 30's years and sea level rise as much as 5ft in some parts of the planet janet.

Florida was totally underwater and now its not. Did humans cause that too? Maybe Dinosaur flatulance?

Where did i say Humans are the reason for the warm up? Our orbit gets closer to the sun every few millions years and this is the reason for rapid ramp up. Just the last 7 years in FL should tell you we are seeing a rapid warm up in FL and many parts of the planet.

It makes sense to you, IF you're actually telling the truth. Everyone else can read your linked anomaly chart and compare it the clarity of the charts linked in post 60 and clearly see that a substantial warming has taken place in Miami.

See also posts 68 and 69, where anecdotal observations support the empirical evidence charted in the article linked in post 60.

Baloney. Exactly how much closer is the earth to the sun in the last 3 decades and how much did this impact global warming? Linked, peer-reviewed research please.

What has been the impact of the 35 billion metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuel burning that accumulates in the atmosphere each year? How is it that man-made climate change science deniers can never discuss, at all, any of the salient issues that so concern scientists -- carbon dioxide emissions, ocean warming, ocean acidity, etc.?

Are deniers proud of being serial prevaricators and obfuscators regarding an existential threat facing mankind?

Typical "Big Lie" man-made climate change science denier obfuscations and prevarications. None of these statements is supported by a single article, let alone a peer-reviewed article published in a reputable scientific journal.

Here's the reality that you never discuss. Annually, 35 billion metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuel consumption accumulate in the earth's atmosphere. Scientists say that empirical evidence shows that these emissions are warming the oceans, creating ocean acidification, warming the planet, creating more intense and destructive hurricanes, causing droughts and vastly increased and more dangerous wildfires in the western U.S., and resulting in accelerating sea level rise that threatens to inundate Florida's beaches and coastal nature preserves in just several decades, and much of southern Florida in this century.

Scientists say this is an existential threat to humanity, let alone the rest of the earth's species, and that we must transition away from fossil fuel consumption ASAP.

You and other deniers can't handle any of the empirical evidence and peer-reviewed science. Instead you fill any discussion with undocumented falsehoods, or attempt to ridiculously claim that you have a "natural instinct for science," as the Denier-in-Chief did recently, that trumps (pun intended) not only peer-reviewed scientific research and the scientific method, but also the empirical data and obvious anecdotal evidence.

You've said you're a one-percenter. Is your income/wealth highly dependent on continued fossil fuel consumption. Why else are you a purveyor of ignorance? BTW, why don't you care about the ongoing destruction of the great Florida coral reef, or the now obvious erosion of Florida beaches?

October used to be my favorite month in Florida. The weather would be nearly perfect most days. You could do outdoor activities nearly every day without sweating. Utopia.

Past several years October is too hot to do those outdoor activities regularly throughout the month.
