House for Sale..........don't you read the newspapers.....at least several times a week, there are articles about traffic stops on SHD, Rt. 50 and what do they find..........DRUGS........a local high school was in the paper because one of their students had 1.43 ounces of grass on campus........west of Mariner Blvd
a hotbed of drug dealings. Go to a local night club and you can get whatever you want. Spring Hill is not the the sleepy little town it used to be,
mostly retiree's.........now you got the wannabe gang bangers, kids that want to be thugs, with their attitudes, they come down here acting all tough
like we should be afraid. I've seen it all and I'm not afraid of any of it. That's why they have a hotline.

Matty K,one of the reasons Im considering staying here is because I too am single, and want to be able to go socialize and have fun when I want too,and play music. The area surrounding Tampa is good for that.Ybor city is awesome,it looks like New Orleans dtyle with 2 blocks of bars and nightclubs of any genre you want.Clearwater beach is great, and cities surrounding Tampa have decent clubs also.

Plus,Orlando is only a hour drive away, which also has good places,I like the House of Blues personally. Its only a 2 hour drive to the east coast to Daytona from Tampa.Im probably going to stay a hour north of Tampa because cost of living is cheaper here, yet places are not that far away.

Ft Lauderdale is great for someone single, but its also hectic, spanish language is creeping in more and more and expensive compared to up here.I lived in Miami most of my life and went to Broward often,if Broward wasn't the things I just mentioned I might have moved to Broward instead.Another good thing about up here is if want to travel north out of the state you are already half way up the state. From here I could be in Atlanta in 7 to 8 hours if I want to.

And you know what,if I feel like going back to Dade-Broward I can always drive that 5 hours to get there for a weekend.

Pensicola and Jacksonville,2 major Navy stations are 4-5 hour drive from Tampa. Thanks for serving our country btw.

Too bad you can't get stationed in Puerto Rico lol!I've heard its a fun place.

Songbird, but that stuff is going on in every town. Kids are smoking pot in every town here and across the globe. Not all but a good number are and they are using all kinds of stuff up to and including OTC drugs and home made stuff. Unfort., it is a fact of life, everywhere.

Right drugs are EVERYWHERE even in the purest cleanest cities but some areas are worse than others and Brooksville is one of them. Obviously these people who don't see it don't go out in the evenings. When the sun goes down, the bad things come out.

Tampa is much bigger, go for Tampa not a mostly bedroom community like Brooksville.

100% agree. I'm a Tampa native, if you need to be recruiting this should be your choice, guaranteed. This is a good size metro area, with plenty of choices for nice housing.

You're right. I don't live in Brooksville so I can't comment but when I did live in Spring Hill, I saw the typical activity that I see in S. FL. No difference.
