My son just made a big ole crock of chili. Made me think of all the people I meet who say they won't eat chili in the summer time. But it's air conditioned inside. Cool enough for me.

I'd love to- but i'm the only one who really likes soup. Everyone loves chili and likes some soups when it's cold outside, but that's about it.

Soup never, chili once in a blue moon if the opportunity presents, but won't plan it.

I'm the sort of person who eats lunch/dinner food for breakfast, because I operate under the "if it's good at 8pm, it's good at 8am" philosophy.

I made soup the night before last; boiled some water, added some kimchi, added some sriracha and some fermented Chinese soybean/pepper sauce, and enough Bragg's amino acids to give it a good backbone, let it cook for 20 minutes and then added udon noodles. Delicious!

I'll probably make chili tomorrow. I was going to do it tonight, but I manage a hotel, and we ran into some issues so I'm crashing here tonight and will probably resort to cold pasta and pesto, but I think it's a plan for tomorrow night!

Amen. I wonder where the idea came from that eggs, bacon, hash, toast were to be deemed breakfast food. Why isn't shepherd's pie or pasghetti and meatballs breakfast food?

Yes we do. Made french onion soup a couple nights ago as I found Vidalia onions at the store finally. I saw those and thought, french onion soup, don't care how hot it is outside. Didn't have much soup leftover so I made a roast the next day and poured the leftover soup over the roast while it cooked. Talk about some great gravy!!I have chili in the freezer, as we eat it alot in the winter and I freeze any leftovers. When all the kids are here to swim we'll have chili dogs. Makes an easy meal, as the grandkids now have to bring their friends over to swim. You know teens, they don't do anything without a friend .

I have a difficult time eating breakfast food for breakfast..no to the chili and sghetties.

I make chicken chili, chicken stock and monterey jack base, shredded chicken, cannelli beans and chili peppers, tortilla chips crushed on the top.

Any soup with a rich and hearty or cream base is welcome anytime of the year.

I don't mind chili - but I got to be in a particular mood for it.
