Chips and salsa, although I must say that pita chips and hummus is rapidly gaining stature at our house! We bought some sun-dried hummus awhile ago at World Market and absolutely love it.

But when it comes right down to it, it's almost impossible to beat those delicious Tostitos scoops and the irresistible hot salsa with veggies!

I generally prefer the hummus especially because I think it is more healthy, but, on occasion if the salsa is extra spicey I would go for that!!! I'm loving super hot stuff

I like both too much to decide -- it'd depend on what I felt like at the moment!

if i go to a mexican restaurant i dont even eat the free chips and salsa because i know once i have the first chip, i cannot stop. too addicting. its also less filling and imo taste better.

pita chips and hummus are very tasty as well and there can be many variations when it comes to the hummus. but this combo seems heavier to me, its almost a meal in itself. also, its not as addicting as tortilla chips and salsa imo. i can eat chips and salsa until i feel like im going to pass out. not the same with pita and hummus where i start to get bored of it early on after 5 or so dips.

tortilla chips and salsa for me.

plus i dont know what it is but eating chips and salsa just has a fun element to it.

i tired hummus, and its not to bad, after 2 or 3 budwisers, but when you grow up in Texas you crave chips and salsa.
