I really have gotten into even using a veg/fruit soap for this.
Very wary of e-coli etc.
I even wash items like, oranges, bananas, etc.

Better to be safe than sorry.

I don't. Nothing washed here, not even potatoes. I trust the people I get my food from and I trust the people who grow it. But that is just me. I've never had "grit" in celery, potatoes, lettuce, or anything. Lucky I guess.

I guess I did lie a bit, I do wash the crawfish.

i dont bother for anything im going to peel...which is most fruits and veggies quite honestly, for the most part i try to buy from local organic farmers or grow myself so i dont worry too much about it because the places i buy from and on my own stuff theres no use of pesticieds or chemical fertilizers

if i have to buy something at the store though ill generally rinse well, personally i have no desire to eat soap residue anymore than i do pesticides.

I skip washing bananas, and oranges most of the time. I wash -- with water -- most other fruits and veggies. I tend to shop "clean" but hey root veggies have lots of dirt!

As a matter of fact yes I do (NOW)- 6 months ago I got a bottle of its called "veggie wash" - all natural citrus wash and what a difference! Food taste like food again- I sprayed it on a pint of blueberries and a bunch of grapes then rinsed with cold water - you couldnt believe the difference. I really recommend it. Great for washing salads, fruits, veggies - it really does make a difference.

I do my best to wash every fruit & veggy that I can.
E- Coli is bad enough, but with all the pesticides & germs & junk the fruit & veggies get on them when shipping.
I say better safe than sorry.

Seems odd to do it even tho I have been doing it the last sevral years.

I'm also guilty of not doing this all the time.

I don't wash things I'm going to peel, but everything else I rinse in cold water. I tried one of those veggie washes a many years ago when they first came out with, and I wasn't impressed. Maybe it's improved over the years.
