You don't cook these in oil....you mix the ingredients...put them in the machine....that has donut molds in it....kind of like a waffle maker or george foreman in that it bakes...but the molds are donut shaped.

It depends on your economic level. Food is just nutrition for the very poor, who can barely afford enough of it for that. But as affluence rises, food can be anything you can afford for it to be, including a hobby.

However, I think you absolutely have to invest some emotion and heart into your food and take time to create dishes you enjoy.
Reason being that any adversarial relationship you have with food is dysfunctional. Dysfunctional relationships are no healthier than a steady diet of donuts and mountain dew.
I think a balanced diet is important, but I only eat what I truly enjoy.
Food is fuel but it is also yummy, fun, creative, festive, traditional....It's why we have taste buds!
