Wow I guess I scored the lowest out of everybody who took the test, 48%! I agree with dennismpat, I'd rather have a cup of tea or cocoa. At the same time, I don't mind a caffine rush every once in a while from a cup of coffee.
81% I don't roast my own beans either. I am now trying to wean myself off of the creamers. I am totally addicted to the french vanilla creamer. Right now I am drinking milk and sugar with the first cup then slowly diluting it until my last cup is black. Figure I will shed a few pounds without the creamers.
75% but it didn't have all the right questions, I would consider myself at 85% to 90%, if I didn't have coffee in the morning I would have a headache by noon
81%... but I found myself wanting to hit the "all of the above" tab that didn't exist on the survey, i.e.: Where do you drink your coffee (home, office, starbucks...). Does this mean I have a problem?
Yes, I was deciding how to answer those same questions, too, Jin.
Hmm... I'm wondering... if I want to bite the people in Starbucks who are just not moving fast enough... is that an addiction problem? Okay, mine or theirs?
It's 1am... off to make some Starbucks. I don't have a problem. No I don't. No... I don't...
I dont drink Starbucks because I cant seem to justify the calories in a single cup of any of thier coffee drinks-and that sludgy oil residue at the bottom of my cup.. what is that stuff?
But I do drink a lot of coffee Monday through Friday with my first cup at 4am and my last cup at 5pm... In fact, if I wake up on Saturday morning and dont have a cup of coffee right away, I get a massive headache.
I watched a TV news show a couple of weeks ago and some doctor was talking about study, published in the journal Neurology, looked at 4,197 women and 2,820 men and found that women who drank at least three cups a day had a 33 per cent lower decline in verbal retrieval and an 18 per cent lower decline in visuospatial memory, compared to those who drank one cup or less.
Drinking more than three cups of coffee a day may decrease a woman's rate of cognitive decline associated with age, but offers no such benefits for men, suggests the study.
