Is it still safe to make something out of the leftover turkey in the fridge or is it time to pitch it?
I have just enough left to make some turkey chili but I'm wondering if that ship has sailed...
As far as I am concerned it would be just fine. I always freel it can last, safely about a week. Then it is toss time or freeze time. We didn't have our dinner til Saturday and today I started the carcus in the slow cooker for stock and soup. What is left I will use as cream turkey over biscuits on Thursday. The rest will be frozen tomorrow or Thursday.

I keep my fridge really cold...34' That way, everything lasts longer. If you keep your fridge up around 40' food won't last as long. I keep a thermometer in the fridge and check the temperature often
Our turkey made it to Monday. The fam did a good job polishing it off. Of course that is only because I break it all down for them
That's how I am thinking! There is no fix number of days or hours. Just check it before eating: if it looks good, smells still delicious, and taste so too.... then why toss it only because 48 or 96 hours are over??
we ran out of turkey the day after Thanksgiving, but last night hubby ate the last of the mashed potatoes and gravy and I was concerned that he was going to get food poisoning--luckily he's ok lol
We are finishing ours tonight (we celebrated last Sat) what is left will be frozen. I like elnina, I think sometimes we worry too much about food spoilage, if it isn't slimmy at all and smells ok eat it, if not toss it.
I just finished the last of last Thursday's turkey. It was fine.
