I don't mind Bourdain's show, but he needs to put a sock in it. Just because Paula Deen's show features a lot of deep-fried high-fat comfort foods doesn't mean you have to eat that kind of food every day....everything in moderation.....and I have never heard Paula trying to convince people to eat like that every day.

And Bourdain shouldn't talk....I've seen his shows where he's traveling to some dirty third world village and eating some strange things that might contain any number of diseases....not to mention the fact that he smokes and drinks like a fish.

News flash: Bourdain quit smoking a few years ago.

I find them both entertaining. I find a lot of cooking shows entertaining, it doesn't mean I eat or drink like that every day. I don't understand Bourdain's cheap shots at Paula though, that demeans him.

He picks on RR and Sandra Lee too.

Hmmm, I am starting to see a pattern then. I think it's unprofessional of him to criticize his fellow chef/cooks. I wonder if he feels insecure, or if he just dislikes women, or is chauvanistic...or just an a$$.

He graduated from the Culinary Institute of America, which makes him a real chef, the rest of them?
Not so much.
BTW, busting on other folks chops is very common among chefs......its actually tension relief.

I love watching Anthony Bourdain, generally I do not like celebrities at all, but if there was one guy I could meet, it would definitely be him.

He seems like a really cool guy to hang out with, go out, eat good food, smoke cigs and get smashed. What more can you ask for?

It reminds me of a line I read in a book once, "Women cook because people need to eat. Men cook to show off." (And yes, I know it's a generalization that doesn't apply to everyone, it just seems to apply to this case.)

I'm so over both of them and basically ALL celebrity chefs. There are so many new cooks & restauranteurs inundating LA today from all parts of the country with just one objective: to get on TV!
