ha, I missed that one. I just received the email yesterday and found it quite disgusting.
As another poster stated - I use a lot of olive oil but unfortunately, I was a consumer of margarine also, until yesterday. I've used butter for certain things.
Bottom line - ABSOLUTELY NO margarine for this household
We crossed over to butter this spring, MIL came up to live with us and she couldn't use margarine so we switched to nosalt butter and will not go back. We are also big users of EVOO I like the flavored ones also.

Reason: adding info
Butter is better for you. I stop using magarine about 20 years now and no hydrogenated oils either.... I don't buy anything with that has hydrogenated oils..... It is actually banned in one of the world country( I can't remember where) to have hydrogenated oils in their foods.
I hate margarine. There is nothing like real butter. As long as you don't use it in large quantities there is nothing wrong with it.
And it's better for you than margarine.
the sad thing is that I've been to multiple restaurants recently who only offer margerine with their rolls or biscuits ... I don't know what the heck they are thinking about other than saving some money.
It really bothers me that substitute foods are often created and marketed as "healthy" but in my own realtively short lifetime almost everything introduced as such as proven to be very bad for you. It can be difficult to discern marketing from reality these days.

I agree! Almost every restaurant I have been to lately and that has been lots because our kitchen had been torn apart for remodeling for 6 months, served margerine. YUK!! Thank goodness we have our kitchen up and going again!!
OMG I had some butter my parents bought at the Mennonites store outside Crossville TN, it is the best tasting butter i've ever had, its been so long since i've had quality i'd forgotten what its supposed to be like. This stuff almost tastes like a colby cheese. I'm no pig but I had to cut myself off and walk away.
