The Kentucky Derby is on Saturday. If you're watching it, are you planning to serve anything special during the coverage?

I'm going to drink mint juleps until my head explodes. I'll probably run out of bourbon before I run out of mint!

No, because if you take your eyes off the screen long enough to put food on your plate you will miss the race.

The event lasts less than 2 minutes and ten seconds. I think I can find a way to eat around that. It's not like a sudden death overtime goal in a hockey game, there is plenty of advance warning exactly when it is going to happen, and it doesn't catch anyone by surprise.

we are going to our daughters to watch it, and she will probably do something. Of course we are having steak on the grill plus she is doctoring the dinner up to fit in with cinco De Mayo as well. I just hope she doesn't think we want to drink Mint Julips...please, no!!!!!

of course they do, Derby parties are big arond this here parts of the country;
Lexingtongal knows how to do it right; you don't just watch one race, it is a big day, the second biggest day in the racing year, the only bigger day might be the breeders cup. Have fun, watch the races, bet a few ponies and drink to the winner or the losers or both!!!!
