Boy I would've been in trouble interviewing with you! I seldom use the salt at a restaurant on an entree/appetizer as I find the food well-seasoned already, but I've definitely been known to salt my bread and butter. mmmmmmmmm.
@debsi - I would probably have been so confused at the sight of you salting bread and butter that I would hired you on the spot. I guess it's an interview policy which needs to be documented - never doubt the salt shaker when it comes to needing salt on bread and butter.
OOPS. Busted. So it was IBM. You know, when I was interviewing candidates at lunches for my former unnamed employer, if they ordered their drink with a straw, I new right away that they sucked.
I sincerely hope you aren't doubting me. I will not release my former company's name but this was actually done and I must say I always had a wonderful staff based on my hiring decisions - I had a huge staff. I'm wondering what you would do bulldogdad - would you salt or no salt. I would certainly like to interview you at dinner to see what you have to say and eat (salt or no salt). I'm not sure what my decision would be but I think maybe doubting toms aren't very good for business.
Really? You prefer a huge staff of yes men who never question anything at all that they're told and thus never find existing problems or find that there's a better way to do something?
Yeah, I don't think I would get used to that since while BM banned the shakers, they're still available elsewhere. Then again, I never did use their salt shakers.

This really wasn't worth a response but I will - Who said my staff members were men? And I am done with this subject. It has been run into the ground.

I can't even recall the last time I used table salt in my food ... I only have garlic salt and rarely use that condiment. Now PEPPER ... I use liberally

Exactly the very fact that I questioned the veracity of the the salt story and provided documentation should be reason enough not only to hire me but to also give me the corner office with the key to the executive bathroom. LOL
I did enjoy BM's roasted chicken sandwich back in the day.
I dont know about salt content but I love their Chicken Pot Pie it so good it's only thing I order.
I love them but I always, always get BONES in them! I guess they use the chicken from the prior day to make them and they pull it off the bones, and maybe they aren't so careful.
I get the pot pie at least once a week for lunch in the winter, but I have to eat it sort of "surgically."
