I also like Whataburger and Burger King. Burger King has good fries now. I wish they would upgrade their onion rings next.

The very best burger is a local mom-n-pop sandwich shop that only serves burgers as a special, once in a blue moon. Burgers are not part of the regular menu. The patties taste like they are handmade, from fresh ground beef. It's as close to what you would get from your back yard grill as I've ever seen in a restaurant.
Whataburger and Burger King?

I went to Whataburger just outside of Phoenix and it was no better than Burger King. And both are not in the same class as In-N-Out, Five Guys, or Culver's.

I don't necessarily think that 5 Guys is
really in the same league/business model as a McD's/Burger King/Wendy's/et al, so I'm not sure why people are comparing apples and oranges.

I think their burgers are bland and not worth their price tag. I like the fries but I won't go out of my way to eat there.

If you can't like "greasy french fries that are like a walking heart attack", then I guess you wouldn't like it.
My feeling is, what other kind of french fries are worth eating?
I like 5 Guys every so often....maybe once every few months.

I don't know if it's already been mentioned, but they will never have drive throughs because their food must be eaten hot and right away to be at it's best.

Take 3 fish oil capsules for every handful of 5 Guys fries you eat.

Just had a 5 Guys open here in Springfield, Oregon. We had to try it, since everybody seems to compare them to In 'N Out. I'll keep it simple:

Twice the price, half as nice. They don't hold a flame to In 'N Out. Anyone who raves about 5 Guys has never had a burger from In 'N Out.

Honestly, I think most of the burgers at Carls Jr. (and several other places) top that of 5 Guys. And yes, they too are also cheaper. I mean, really, $11 for a fast food meal?

Been there twice. Won't ever go again. $10 for a greasy, mediocre burger and soft drink?
