If Hanna shows up it will be by way of a drizzle I think... I live so far NW in NY I am almost Canadian LOL Set for sun til the scattered showers come on Thursday... we shall see... Never really seen any big blow besides a blizzard here...but when that hits I make up soup... a huge crockpot of soup... love it on a cold snowy day- warms you from the inside out.

I know here in the land of long, cold, snowy winters it's soups, stews, comfort foods.

This weekend was all about the grilling. I just moved into a new house and it has a deck so I had to break it in. Steaks, pork chops, brats, etc. Spent some quality time on the deck soaking up the sun, enjoying the view and grilling.

Tropical Storm HANNA

I monitor NOAA through out the day when we have an active storm. There is a thread on Hanna too if you are not already following it. Just to give everyone on the eastern seaboard a heads up. There will be a lot of flooding with here as it looks now.

For dinner I have my instructions to have the pizza ready when the DW arrives home. I think we will behave with a simple lettuce and tomato salad. May have a cuke left to throw in.
Hmmmm...from this map it looks like it will pass right over my house if it stays on course! Better go get some extra gas for the grill incase we lose electricity. Another joy of being all electric! Thank goodness we do have a small generator to keep the freezers going anyhow! Now I wonder where Hannas followers (the other Atlantic storms brewing) are planning on going?? Looks like a wet fall!!

I just went and plundered the fridge looking for a snack and guess what I found. There's a whole small seedless watermelon just waiting to follow tonight's pizza. Feeling lucky with such a find. Maybe a $ spent on a lotto ticket would be a winner too. Nah, probably not. At least it is will be red and I will not need to use a tomato for my daily vitamin C.

I'm originally from Orlando, FL but the Navy moved me across to San Diego, CA... when I got out I stayed... that was a LONG time ago, lol. The transplant took just fine for me.

Oh and to keep it on topic I think dinner will be left over pork chops and some veggies.
