Cocktails or wine with some homemade guacamole, chips and maybe some bruschetta (if I still have enough fresh basil in the garden - it hasn't grown very well with all the rain we've been having).

Last night was a jerk seasoned (lightly) halibut baked in the oven alongside with lemon capellini and a veggie. Tonight I think will be all comfort foods with meat loaf, potatoes of some kind and creamed corn if I can find any fresh enough. If not then turnips greens with bacon.
Tuna salad (made with a mix of celery, parlsy, chopped scallions and banana peppers and a special fish seasoning I got from a local grocer), and a cucumber/bell pepper salad with finely chopped green peppers, salt, pepper, vinegar, oil, water and sugar dressing. (Cucumbers are deseeded and chopped)
Grilled ribeye steaks, grilled potatoes(cut up potatoes, EVOO, salt pepper and thin sliced onion tented in alum foil. One for each family member) salad.
Baked beans are in the slow cooker. I baked whole wheat bread last night, so we'll have grilled tomato and avocado sandwiches on that. Chocolate oatmeal cookies for dessert.
Last night was beer can roast chicken on the grill, fresh spinach, garlic and raisins with fresh lemon juice and left over mashed potatoes. Dessert was warm pumpkin pie on top of sugar free caramel salted with black salt and vanilla ice cream.
Tonight is leftovers, salad mix from garden, avocados and homemade papaya seed dressing. Dessert is bread pudding, with rum/orange soaked raisins, topped with toasted walnuts.
