well, being we are not doing the cooking I have to just guess. I do know hamburgers and hot dogs will be on the grill and I am taking a salad. I just tasted it, wow, I am impressed with my cooking. I know, it isn't nice to brag about yourself, so I guess I will just have to say, it is ok, nothing great. Our daughter is making a pasta salad (I love pasta salad) and I can be pretty sure our youngest granddaughter will bring a dessert. She thinks God put her on earth to eat dessert and bread. No, she isn't heavy, she is really pretty thin!!! Because the older granddaughter has to head back to OKC for the last time (they move here next Fri) we are eating early, thus I am guessing we won't have any appetizers. Oh, we will have plenty of beer and wine, I can bet that much.

My neighborhood is having a Memorial Day gathering on this wonderful plot of land called The Common ... we are all bringing our own "dinner" food plus a dessert to share. I'm going with a friend and we'll just take a couple of sandwiches for ourselves (yeah, not very Memorial-Day-ish) plus lots of cupcakes to share. It's finally warmed up a bit here -- mostly sunny with temps in the high 60s after a weekend of 40s/low 50s during the day and 30s at night !!

I love my neighborhood!

I'm going to my father's house for dinner and he's going to smoke some sort of meat. I'm making a homemade glazed strawberry pie, pico de gallo, guacamole, salad and a cream corn that tastes just like the one from Rudy's BBQ to take.

I can't decide, spicy sauteed green beans with anchovies (no I am not kidding, it's a fabulous combo) or a burger and stir-fried greens....?

I have an invite to go do rib eye steak and all the trimmings at friends' BBQ but I've worked all weekend and am working early tomorrow and don't have the energy...!

Maybe I'll just order a pizza....
