Anyone ever tried this? Mexican corn fungus? What does it taste like?
Link has pics of gross corn fungus. I remember when my dad would see this on the corn crop. He'd burn that area of corn. Who knew? It's a delicacy.

I haven't had it but I have heard it has a real earthy taste. People pay good money to eat this stuff these days. I saw some show where the street vendors were selling soft tacos made with them.

The canned version doesn't look very edible at first glance, but it's essentially mushroom infused corn. I'd be willing to try it once I got past the nasty look of it.

Oh, if you put it that way, it doesn't sound so bad.

I would consider eating it because I do LOVE mushrooms.
