Everyone seems to just love Oreos, now I won't turn them down, but there are many cookies I would take over them, even the ones you buy at the supermarket. They're not bad but I just don't find them that great. I can't be the only one? lol

It seems a google search reveals many who feel the same way about 'America's favorite cookie', including this blogger:

I cannot stand oreos, they leave a greasy after taste in my opinion. I prefer snickerdoodles that I make and the sugar cookies my neighbor makes.

I only like the outer cookie of the Oreo, not the "stuff" that everyone else usually loves.

And that's why these are so perfect for me:
Chow Times » Cool Whip Chocolate Wafers Log

(Yes, I've made the Cool Whip log once or twice and it's scrumptious.)

The combination of cream and cookie is actually the best thing about an Oreo, so whenever I do eat them i never just lick the cream off anymore.

I would def rather have a homemade cookie and I certainly do not want an Oreo without dipping it in milk. That's for sure.

You really have to dip the oreo in milk to appreciate it as a cookie.

In Asia, they actually have different flavors of Oreo! I love the strawberry filling ones and I always get them anytime I traveled to Hong Kong or Japan!
One weird flavor they have is "Cookies and Creme" flavored Oreo. Isn't Oreo cookies and creme already? Isn't it redundant? LOL
