Ever tried it? I have a friend that loves this on rye with onions.
Liverwurst - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It has a strong flavor. I thought it was pretty good.

Oh, don't talk to me about liverwurst - I could live on the stuff. Just give me a nice crusty roll with a bit of butter and LOTS of liverwurst. Liverwurst (pork pâté) and butter make a Vietnamese banh mi such a great sandwich in my opinion.

It's the only way I can eat liver - the German restaurant in my area serves it complimentary with the crusty rolls.

I love this stuff! I either eat it on bread with mayo, or fry it up on the stove with onions and cheese. Certain brands don't agree with my palate though.

I love liverwurst. On a kaiser roll, some onion...and a little garlic powder...hmm, some mustard would be nice, too.

This is something I eat maybe twice, sometimes three times a week on rye or pumpernickle.

My favorite brand is Usingers' "Hessische Landleberwurst", which has a sort of smoked flavor. Usingers in general has good sausages, and this is an old-time product of theres...been eating it since I was a kid back in the 1960s....

horseradish, and some good pickles on the side and a soft pretzel from a local baker. Cucumber salad with dill & chives & olive oil and vinegar as the veggy course.

This is my favorite, and it's available in our local store. I like it the best on a fresh baguette
Yeah - horseradish and good dill pickle goes great with it!
It has less calories than a regular liverwurst, but that does not affect the great taste.

I love this stuff. It has to be a really good brand though..not just the stuff in the supermarket deli case. We like it sliced with thin onions and good strong mustard. We also like to make a spread by mixing it with some mustard and mayo and serve it with rye crisps. Yummmmm.....oh great, now I MUST have some! It is not a "healthy" food...but once in a while....
