We're just barbecuing pork chops on the grill with foil packets of potatoes, broccoli, mushrooms and buttered carrots. I'm not really hungry and may not even eat dinner - one of my dogs passed away yesterday - our beloved border collie, Cody. Now we're down to one dog (fortunately she just turned four and is in good health). She is a Labrador/pitbull named Emma and one the sweetest dogs we've ever adopted.
Tonight will be with relatives at Cotton Patch Café. It's Chicken-Fried Monday! I'm looking to get chicken-fried steak with at least some mashed potatoes (plus rolls, cornbread, and iced tea). Still deciding on green beans or black-eyed peas.

I'm trying to use up the stuff in my pantry and freezers before moving. Tonight I came up with White Chicken Chili. That will use up my last bag of shredded chicken, last two cans of white beans, and some roasted Hatch chiles I had in the freezer. Don't have any cornmeal to make cornbread. I will have to make due with dinner rolls or something.
T-bone pork chops with sauteed broccoli rabe in garlic and oil and hot pepper flakes with a nice loaf of semolina Italian bread. I do the broccoli rabe in garlic and oil first then remove the broccoli so most of the flavored oil is still in the pan then I pan fry the pork chops in the same pan. Mmm, mmm, mmmmm!!!
A blackberry non-fat Greek yogurt, a slice of whole wheat bread with healthy-style margarine, 2 toasted slices of whole wheat bread with roasted garlic hummus and a mug of ginger pear flavored white tea with a teaspoon of sugar.
I have a huge pan of chicken in the oven baking. And with that some steamed veggies -- probably green beans -- with maybe a little pat of butter.
