We love potatoes, eat them 2-3x's a week. I think people who cook real meals for a family tend to eat more potatoes, in my opinion. Tonight we had mashed redskins, so more likely than not I'll utilize the rest of the bag, be it fried with peppers and onions- maybe a breakfast for dinner night, or roasted with olive oil/garlic/rosemary.

So people who cook more rice, pasta, sweet potatoes, etc., are not cooking real meals for their families?

I laughed when I read that. I must make fake dinners most of the time then! Whoops, sorry family!

I didn't grow up eating a lot of potato. For us it was mainly yuca, malanga, rices, or plantians. Never knew that was not real!

Chennai potato curry is very famous among us. Masala dosa and poori with subji involves potatoes. A number of our upmas and samhbars contain potatoes. I would say twice per week on a regular basis.

Usually twice a week. Either baked or hash browns with onions.

I had potato soup two days in a row, today there will be potato chips with dinner, and I'll probably have a baked potato with cottage cheese for lunch tomorrow or the next day. Boy, I love me some "earth apple!"
