Try Carolina style next time with mustard, chopped onion, chili(no beans), and slaw(on the dog). Use a good quality natural casing hot dog instead of the red mystery meat dogs you'd find in the Carolinas.

That's a serious weiner

Or, you could do this--

Soo yummy- chili, cheese & onions....

Sides- homemade fries, chips, or onion rings-
The kids used to request hot dogs in the Summertime-
we grill 'em more often that not, now

I'll have one of each, please!

I buy those big dinner franks and put them and some baked beans in the small crockpot for about an hour on high. Then I put the frank on a bun and spoon some beans over it . Nice sloppy, juicy meal.

I sometimes make some fries with it, but even the franks and beans are enough for a meal for me.

I like Hebrew National, but will eat other hot dogs too if they are 100% beef. I don't understand people who buy the cheapest package of hot dogs they can find. Blech!

I've had hotdogs fixed nearly every kind of way. Straight out of the refrigerator; grilled until the grill marks are on the hot dog and covered with mustard and chopped onions on a fresh hot dog bun; boiled; split down the middle and fried; smothered in sauerkraut; split down the center and filled with mashed potatoes wrapped in a slice of bacon; covered with chili, cheese, and onions and ate with a fork; dipped in cornbread batter and deep fried; sliced with a piece of cheese and cracker and a toothpick stuck thru it to hold it together; and what I have found, there is no way to hide the taste of a hot dog or nothing you can add to it or do to it to make it taste good.

There's not very many foods I don't like, but hot dogs and baloney are two foods I cannot eat. Those are surely 2 of the most disgusting foods ever invented, in my opinion, that is. I'd gladly eat spam and liverwurst, pork brains, chitlins and tripe before I'd eat a hot dog.

I even like the hot dog and coke deal at Costco. Really a deal for $1.50 and it is a big hot dog to boot.

As a Tar Heel, I take exception to this statement. Mystery meat cheapo hot dogs can be found everywhere. And Hebrew National or other quality all beef hot dogs can be found all over both Carolinas!

I agree that "cheapo" hot dogs can be found anywhere, but I was referring more to hot dogs that would be found in a lot of the hot dog joints around the state rather than the grocery store. I'm a Tar Heel too so I know you must be familiar with the red hot dogs I mentioned. BTW, Hebrew National is a decent hot dog for what it is, but you should try the natural casing dogs like Boar's Head or Dietz & Watson.

Are they in the deli section or sold with other hot dogs?

I never thought to put the baked beans on top. What a good idea.
