I have a friend who's a great cook and I'd love to give her a cookbook for a gift. She bakes, and cooks just about everything and I know she loves cook books.
Any suggestions which one to get her?
PS she's always saving interesting recipes out of magazines etc. to try out.
I don't - I know at one point when she sold her house she sold around 1,000 of them but now has another house. I took a chance one called "Extra Virgin: Recipes & Love from Our Tuscan Kitchen" as it had great reviews.

Most of us who are decent cooks can do all types of Italian pretty well already....but you mentioned that she bakes and that's a whole other world of talent.
Mary Berry is famously known as the queen of British baking and her best cookbook is "Mary Berry's Baking Bible".
Ms Berry, along with another super baker, Paul Hollywood, is presenter and judge of the TV show "The Great British Bake-Off" which is available on DVD.
If I was a serious baker I would be over the moon receiving these as gifts.

Back In The Day Bakery Cookbook is a good one. Back in the Day is a popular bakery here in Savannah. It has a retro feel and the cookbook is something a bit different. http://www.backinthedaybakery.com/index.html
I would LOVE to receive America's Test Kitchen Cookbook!
And I am a cook, too!
