LoL I was corrected about my Philly Cheese Steaks.....(in a nice way).....I make no claim to authenticity...it won't be thinly sliced, while partially frozen, rib eye....but it won't be "formed" or chopped meat either. It won't be Provolone cheese but rather Velveeta and it will have caramelized onion, fried red pepper strips and shiitake mushrooms on a Philly Steak Roll by Cobblestone Bakery. I will finish it off it a hot oven for a few mins.

I can't decide about sliced tomato and or lettuce and mayo on the bad boy.

The only time I was in Philly.....I did get a steak sandwich at the food court in the airport. It was good....but I am sure would rank low on the city's best sandwich list. If you're in the neighborhood.....stop by.....there will be an extra for you.

I'll be by for a cheese steak. Come on up to Philly and we will do the tour and try them all!

Dinner for us tonight will be the last of the homemade crab cakes, a side of spaghetti with marinara, and a salad with a balsamic dressing. White zin to drink for me and DH will have unsweetened iced tea. Still have a large piece of strawberry shortcake for dessert.

Elston, the crab meat is from the Eastern Shore of Maryland. No fakes here!

Bone in chicken thighs baked in the oven for hubby, With that we will share a big tossed salad. I am eating light tonight.
Tomorrow's my Birthday (44 years old) so my mom is having a little party for me and there will lots of food. Swedish meatballs, rice pilaf, 3 foot Italian hero, homemade macaroni salad, baked ziti with mini meatballs, BBQ ribs, Caesar salad, cheesecake and cupcakes. Most of the food is catered. I actually made the meatballs and rice LOL. Everyone loves them.

Well I am actually going to attempt to cook dinner myself tonight. This laying around is driving me crazy. We have had so namy neighbors and friends that have furnished food the past 2 week, but how many chicken casseroles and soups can we eat, right?

I am going to just take frozen fish out, make a small fruit salad and saute bok choy with garlic, green onions, peacans, soy sause and seseme seeds. We will either have rice and gravy with it or ramen noodles. Oh and spoiled brat, who has been a life savor the past few weeks will enjoy a piece of homemade apple pie someone brought us.

I made a few batches of rosemary-garlic whole wheat crackers last night and I think I'll make a pot of lentil vegetable soup to go with them. Pumpkin and maple bread pudding for dessert.
