Poor husband is sick, so no restaurant for us tonight. Hopefully, he'll feel better tomorrow and we can go out then. He's been in bed all day - but honestly, the quiet has been kinda nice!

I'm thinking I might order a pizza - I have coupons. It's rainy, it's windy, it's cold, I don't want to cook, and I have coupons. Plus there's good TV on tonight, and I have coupons. So it's not like it would be expensive. Did I mention I have coupons?

Leftovers tonight. Hot turkey sandwiches, mashed potatoes with gravy, sweet potato casserole, and steamed brussel sprouts topped with cherry-peach balsamic glaze.

It was actually this:

highly seasoned and roasted chicken drumsticks, veggies kabobs (peppers, onions, cherry toms, mushrooms), and rice.

Banana bread with walnuts for dessert.

It was so delicious!

I am going to quote my Arkansan SIL, who after dinner, as we all sat quirlt in a food endued stupor while sipping coffee and pushing out deserts around on their plates, after a few minutes of uncharacteristic dead silence - we are a chatty bunch - she said

"Well I don't know about y'all....but I'm like to explode any moment".

We all got a good laugh.

So today, it's in the fridge. I think I am having a bowl of Haagen-Daz rum raisin. A small bowl. Very small.
