My mother was an expert at making Aunt Bill's Brown Candy, but she said it was better for two people to make it. At one time I decided if she could do it, so could I, but it turned out being a total mess. When it's time to pour one mixture into another and keep beating during the pouring... that's when mine became lumps which stayed that way.
