File under the "learn something new every day" category: The FDA regulates the use of a "+" in food labeling—and says KIND has been using it improperly on two of its snack bars. Bloomberg reports the FDA has taken issue with four KIND bars , stating in a letter sent last month and released yesterday that KIND can't brand them "healthy" because the bars don't "meet the requirements."

Hopefully they'll fix the label. My dad, who won't eat hardly anything at all, WILL eat these. So they are A-OKAY as far as I am concerned.

I would take it a grain of salt, the FDA has launched a war against saturated fat ever since the 70s, and good thing science today has laid that myth to rest, unfortunately not for those that collect our money.

It's the sugar that makes them unhealthy, not the fats from nuts.

They don't all have a lot of sugar. Many of the varieties have less than 5g per bar. The ones that have more are from the fruit. It's still not very high.

I believe Ohiogirl understands that, but is disagreeing ... Saturated fat from nuts doesn't make them unhealthy, despite what the FDA is saying.
