I use a cut up onion but next time I'll use the pearl onions as TF suggests (my guy loves onions so it's pretty sure he will like it better with more onion) I will try your variations with the dumplings.

the crab cakes come out amazing and it's so simple:

Ms. North Shore,

Check out this site: Chicken Pastry Recipe, made from scratch. : Taste of Southern

Good recipe BUT,

Note the grey color . . .sorta' off putting in a way, don't you think?

Now go here: https://www.google.com/search?q=turm...rmeric+noodles

Just look around . . . I look for flavor and mouth-feel first. After that I want pretty food. Life is too short for ugly food.

I use a high quality smoked Spanish paprika:
Yerba Mate Tea and Food Products from Argentina, Italy and Spain by GauchoGourmet

More importantly are the taste and spices you and yours like.

I'm a little short of time right now. Yes, your crabcake recipe looks good.

thanks, Rust! I see what you mean.

I can get food to taste really good most of the time - hoping good looking will come after that.

My cooking is on the rustic side - wish I had more time to devote to it . . . but when I do it is a creative experience and then a culinary one

I love when my guy says YUM in no uncertain terms!

I'd get some fresh salmon with an apricot marinade. Then make some orzo and spinach with a few roasted peppers thrown in.
