I looove Old Bay! I was putting it on everything, until the Mr. threw a fit and declared that he was sick of everything tasting like Maryland. Utz makes a potato chip flavor with that seasoning (it's called "crab seasoned" or something like that), and they're horrifyingly delicious.
I use it excessively. veggies, fries, chicken.. Last night, I was feeling a little creative.. Got some onion and peppers (Various colors, not the sweet peppers).. A little olive oil, browned those up.. Cut up some squash and zucchini.. thew in some water and a nice bit of old bay.. Simmered for 20 mins or so.. Wonderful.
The other night, I just got a chicken breast, coated it in Old Bay and baked it.
Did Shake and Bake extra crispy on a chicken breast, and supplemented it with some Old Bay sprinkled on.
Deviled eggs.. My mother would sprinkle paprika on the top of them.. I use Old Bay.
Mustard. Everything from the regular, fairly mild mustard in meatloaf (substitute for ketchup), or spicier types with sandwiches, chicken, ham, etc.... I was never fond of mustard when I was young. I discovered I'm crazy about it now. Go figure.
I know this is going to sound silly and many are going to think I have lost my mind, but I have rediscovered jello salad. With only 2 of us I don't make it often, but sometimes when I have to take a salad to something I will take it. Spice wise: for some unknown reason I had stopped using seasoning salt and now am back to it. What is better than a steak or grilled veggies crusted with seasoning salt, pepper and crushed garlic?

Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay Seasoning, smoked oysters, brie cheese, tarragon, Dijon mustard (Maille is THE BEST) custard, good doughnuts I mean really good ones.
Jarlsberg cheese and Quiche. Blue cheese dressing.
These were foods I ate a lot in the 70s and 80s. I've rediscovered them lately and I like them again.
I thought of another food from the past I am starting to eat again and really like, though it isn't all that healthy. We have reverted back to bologna (spelling) with cheese sandwiches. I was raised on it it or ham and cheese sandwiches and probably hadn't had in for 30 years until about a year or so ago. Now I get it from the deli about every couple of months. We had sandwiches yesterday. I put mustard on one slice of bread and mayo on the other, stick a piece of cheese and meat, plus a few sliced pickles and a little lettuce on the sandwich and man oh man; yummy!!!!!!!
Tarragon is awesome in a cold chicken salad with pineapple chunks, mayo, and walnuts. Thanks for jogging my memory, I haven't made it in years and it is oh so tasty!
