I'm guessing a takeaway means take-out?

Yes...that's what it means. We NEVER do "take out" dinners....either we eat out AT the restaurant, or I cook! Lunch is different...sometimes we'll go to a "fast food" type place and eat...but we eat in....

The ONLY exception is if my hubby isn't home...I'll get chinese take out....he doesn't like chinese food and I love my sweet and sour chicken!!!

Veggie pizza and Greek salad from Ozone's pizza last Saturday for munching during the football games. A 6-pack of Founder's Stout and we set for the day.

Two weeks ago - I picked up a pizza from the place just down the street. 1/2 Sausage, 1/2 Pepperoni.

Edited to add - normally we get things delivered (95% of the time) - the other 5% is usually fast food that we bring home only because we live close to the restaurant. Otherwise we'd probably eat it in the parking lot. Husband doesn't "do" sit down restaurants - I only do when he's working and I go by myself for a biscuit and gravy fix.

I guess for me it was some Chinese food. If I'm doing take-out, I either do that or maybe a gourmet submarine sandwich from the local deli. $17, but it's pretty good.

I picked up a sub to take home and eat in August.

I did get a rotisserie chicken to take home a few weeks ago….I love those and they make such an easy meal.
