I cannot say I like it. Ate a ton of it in sandwiches as a kid. Mom made 'spam salad'. Diced it up, added sweet relish, mayo and mustard. Guess it must have been cheap. I picture some big guy with a scoop shovel going around the meat processing plant scooping all the scraps on the floor and dumping them into the 'here comes spam' machine.

I love it, but I haven't eaten it in years because of the fat and sodium.

I loved it as a kid, so tried it again recently. I was looking forward to having it fried, with eggs. Even though I bought the low sodium version, it was so salty that I threw most of it out.

ditto. Fried with eggs, can't be beat.

Although the nadir of my 60 year eating experience has got to be COLD spam sandwiches, as made by my stepmother, trying to save money on a road trip. YUCK!!

mom made it about the same way: yes it was cheap and always available when some products were not.

I never had Spam until a few months ago! I don't hate it, but I'm not going out of my way to buy it, either. And it must be fried very crispy.

That said, Spam and cheese grilled in a sandwich ... yum.

I think there are 13 different varieties of it now. I love the jalapeno or black pepper flavored spam in an omelet.

Grew up in Hawaii in the early 70s....SPAM was pretty much the only affordable protein.

Still love it today
