Well I was supposed to make our traditional dinner of steak pie, colcannon and peas but I forgot it's family night at my son's school. Everyone (adults too) play kick ball and dodge ball. That meal is way too heavy to run around after. Instead a simple meal of sausages and apples for the kids, tuna melts afterwards for the adults.

Happy Saint Paddy's Day! If you are out and about celebrating stay safe and have one for me!

Leftover shepherd's pie, cabbage, and soda bread from last night, and I'll probably cook some carrots to go with it. I tried roasting cabbage wedges last night for the first time since I could put it in the oven with the shepherd's pie. Not bad!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!
