Threestep are you familiar with the Alexanderkuchen? https://wayfaringbaker.com/2013/07/2...exander-torte/
I made it this morning and it is not that easy as it looks. But the taste is divine and it melts in the mouth.

After smelling all the sweets I made this morning I am yearning for pickled herring with pan fried caraway and onion potatoes and a beer not decided on yet.

Have a good weekend everyone

We just got back from Taco Bell (lunch). Husband has a bunch of extra tacos so he's going to have that. There's going to be way too much hooting, hollering, and general nonsense gong on around here tonight for me to even THINK about making anything. It's game 3 of the World Series - they're playing at Wrigley - he's a life long Cubs fan from a long line of life long Cubs fans (and the Old Style drinking that goes with it) - need I say more?

Me, I plan to put my headphones on, crank up the music, have a few glasses of wine, I have a bunch of Fannie May Trinidads and some other dark chocolate to nibble on, and I'll work on the Christmas Stocking I'm cross stitching for my son to send him since this will actually be his very first Christmas that he hasn't come home. So I'm sending some "home" to Hawaii for him.

PS -AngID Thanks - looks excellent!!!

Bell peppers stuffed with Cajun rice, beef and fresh diced tomatoes and topped with sharp cheddar.

Diced honeydew melon and grape salad. The grapes are those giant, firm sweet, green ones and they are called "hobgoblins." Most appropriate for Halloween!

Apple crisp for dessert.
