Just finished eating. I had made an omelette with: sliced Canadian bacon, sausage patty, mushroom, onion, tomato, baby spinach, cheese, some seasonings too. Buttered toast, Halo, OJ, & Starbucks flavored Peppermint Mocha.
I needed to charge up my sourdough starter today for bread baking tomorrow. So the one cup of discard starter went into these (pic below)
Sourdough Discard Crumpets. They look like pancakes as I don't have 3" English muffin rings, so they spread out rather than up. But they are tasty! They are nothing more than the discard, a little sugar, salt, and a little baking soda. Topped with a bit of maple syrup and a dollop of fig preserves, along with an orange and half of a banana. Hot coffee to drink.
