Clear, red or brown? I loved birch beer when I was a kid.

I drank a bottle of Boylan's original, which is brown.
Does the color affect the flavor?
It is sold in a local supermarket.

I loved it when Wendy's used to serve Birch beer all of the time and have wondered why they discontinued it.
Is anything similar in the stores being sold?
