I bring a big ole yam. I zap it in the microwave in the morn before work, put lotsa butter in it, tupperware, throw it my locker, and just heat it up in the microwave in the break room.
Almonds or peanuts and dried fruit are a nutritious snack. You could add beef or turkey jerkey for protein and have no worries about refrigeration. Remember the water though
Hard boiled egg smells so bad that it stinks up my fridge if I have a couple of eggs in a freezer bag. It has a ton of smell, to me.
Hard steam your eggs instead of boiling them and throw them in an ice bath (to stop the egg from continuing to cook and the reaction from iron in the yolk and the hydrogen sulfide compounds in egg whites) and you won't have that weird sulfur smell. Works like a charm every time!

Thats a great idea, and so is a regular potato. If you dumped on some kind of protein, it would stick with you longer. Like maybe some chopped ham on the sweet potato, or some leftover chili and cheese on the white one.
Hummus with carrots to dip into, plus an apple & bottle of water. At least buy an insulated lunch bag & tiny thing to freeze for keeping contents chilled. I wouldn't eat a HB egg that has been sitting at room temp & warmer.
