Salmon / marscapone ravioli (Costco), and I'll make a caper / lemon cream sauce, zucchini on the side.

Today I miss the family BBQ'S we always had when my Dad was still here. I don't think I've had a family BBQ since he and my husband died. So while dreaming of burgers, hot dogs, steak and chicken with various salads and corn on the cob, I'm ordering Olive Garden and sharing 5 cheese ziti a la forno and chicken Marsala with bread sticks and Alfredo dipping sauce and salad.

Years ago I took cooking classes at our local Viking store, and this dish has become a staple in our house.

Chicken sauteed with onions, garlic & basil; salad, and french bread

I missed the family BBQ, but it was in Tucson, and I'm in Delaware. So DH and I went out to Red Robin and it was totally yumm.

We went to our club's summer opening. Just got in.

I started with grilled oysters with lemon and butter. (They also had the raw kind - DH slurped those. Not for me. But I was in the minority.

Chargrilled black bean burgers on seeded rolls, grilled corn on the cob, red potato salad, stuffed mushrooms with crab and cream cheese, Field Green Salad with strawberries and strawberry balsamic vinaigrette, and a bubbly macaroni and cheese.

(Don't worry -they had regular burgers, and grilled chicken for other people)

Desert was local ice cream. I had Maple Walnut.
