My pleasure, PDH... your moniker still makes me LOL. Well, don't keep us in suspense... the pizza toppings were...?

In addition, I rarely eat canned, processed or frozen food... but, when I go to World Market, I buy every can of stuffed grape leaves I can find... for canned food, it's gloriously tangy & tasty. Hope you enjoyed your Greek meal with the Missus.

Welcome home, Praline & your post just reminded me of how hard I've been working & how burnt out I've been for a long time... been working 7-days/wk for months & began physically shaking a few days ago & can't stop it... I feel fried. I've been putting off a trip 3-hrs north to the MI beaches, due to work & since I'm beginning a new job next week, mid-week, I've decided this is the time to just pack up tonight & go for the weekend... so cheers for the reminder that I need a break.

A.typical.girl is hilarious! You should be a professional writer, my dear.
You're too kind, P, cheers. Have a file with written books, non-published. Maybe someday soon. Thanks very much for your encouragement.

Tonight, I am thawing out a pan of seafood lasagna, toasting some garlic bread and making a chopped salad all washed down with a bottle or two of Veuve (which is going to have to double as dessert as well). Medicinal Veuve anyone?
Seafood lasagna? Yes. Veuve? Yes. Medicinal Veuve? Yes, please... but, isn't that $500+/bottle? Perrier-Jouet has been a fave, mainly as they have the most beautiful bottle (the brown label version, which is what I buy, is 1/2 price)... but, since I've yet to celebrate my new job beginning, I'd like to have a nice celebration before next Wed. Veuve might be in order if I can find it at an affordable bottle.
Dinner for me was 1/2 ribeye, cast iron fried with Himalayan salt (wink to Debsi), 1/2-lb of pistachios as an appetizer & a couple of ales... Punk IPA & Ballast Pt Sculpin IPA. Off to bed by 7pm... off to the Great Lakes beaches by 8am. I wanna be sand bound by noon tomorrow.
Another dinner alone with the cats - they'll be enjoying a medley of Fancy Feast and Friskies.
I will dine on a cucumber and cream cheese sandwich on some bread that claims to have 24 whole grains and seeds, with a sliced granny smith apple on the side.
I've already enjoyed pretzels and olive hummus as an appetizer.
(Dawn, if you're reading this, please do not fret - I had a hamburger and gravy fries for lunch today. )
I haven't heard of cucumber/cream cheese sandwiches for decades! Now I have a craving.
