Thinking to make tonight steamed salmon filet seasoned with minced garlic, fresh dill, lemon slices, salt/black pepper to taste and green onions. Served with steamed broccoli and cauliflower.To drink sour lemon water.For dessert 1/2 a pink grapefruit.Later by the fireplace a cup of mint tea.
Thank you all for the kind "get wells"! Life is getting back to our healthy normal here. Both kids are back in school and the husband is back to work. It's just me and Blitzen in the kitchen today. My other dog, Grace, just stops by occasionally looking for carrots!
Another thread reminded me that we haven't had root beer slow cooker pulled pork in awhile. So today I threw that in my slow cooker. I made a batch of cole slaw too. I think I will go out and buy some good rolls and have sandwiches. I will also make a batch of Alabama white barbecue sauce. I love that stuff!
DH didn't feel like grilling last night, so it was leftovers and chicken satay tonight.
Tomorrow will be a baked black bean tamale pie.

Leftover baked chicken thighs, skin on bone in. The recipe called for paprika in the seasoning but found I was out for some strange reason. I used california chili powder that I bought in the hispanic section at Winco and they were delicious. Plus a steamed vegetable. I think all I have is cauliflower.
My kitchen was demo'd today and I don't know where anything is except scrambled egg whites & veggies & leftover salmon in the refrigerator ... and they were delicious! That's egg whites, diced onions & mushrooms & spinach, cooked salmon, and cheese. This will probably be my dinner several times in the next few weeks until my kitchen is done!!
Shrimp scampi over linguini tonight with a side of broccoli florets. We are having our first snow storm today. up to 6 inches.
