When I was in junior high, I liked it for breakfast on toast with yellow mustard. I have no idea how I even came to try it as I thought it looked gross – in the parlance of the day.
I have not eaten it as an adult but if i can get past the idea that it still looks disgusting, I should give it another go as it was quite tasty.
Oh, Hellya!
On rye, yellow mustard, razor thin sliced onions. ..
maybe some cornichons or baby gherkins on the side..
a Shot of good German Schnapps and a Stein of Pilsner..
Breakfast of Champions at the original Magoo Manor. ( my parents house)
Yes when little I loved
Kalbsleberwurst – veal Leberwurst/liverwurst made from veal and pork liver.
Braunschweiger – spreadable, smoked pork liver sausage, herb Leberwurst
as well Hausmacher Leberwurst/liverwurst cured and coarse in texture and seasoned to perfection served with German mustard on home baked Bauernbrot/farmer bread.
I had Radlermaß with it as a child and later just as Mr.Magoo suggested the above drinks. Prosit!
I have not had it in years since I gave up coldcuts but I do miss it a little.
