I came across this article and found it interesting. The most googled Thanksgiving recipe by state – The Bull Elephant Do you agree? What's the most popular Thanksgiving dish in your state? Popeye's Cajun Turkey? Ambrosia salad? Mac and cheese?

Green bean casserole. Ick. Don't get me wrong, I love green beans, but there is nothing appealing to me about that abomination called green bean casserole.

We had turkey and Honey Baked ham.

No green bean casserole, but we did have green beans.

Creamed corn, not corn casserole.

Yes to mac and cheese (home made).

Yes to pecan pie.

Yes to cornbread dressing, but with crumbled biscuits instead of toast, no sage or poultry seasoning or celery. The dressing is one of my favorite parts of the meal, with gravy, please.

I grew up in the Midwest--IL and IN. I can honestly say we NEVER had green bean casserole when I was a kid or adult. We've also never had corn casserole. Corn was usually the veggie of choice though.

No surprise that we are pumpkin pie, though I made sweet potato. Everything pumpkin seems to be popular here.

No surprise that mac and cheese was listed for my state.

They had Wyoming down for Deviled Eggs. We're transplants here, this was only our second Thanksgiving, but we fit right in, I always make deviled eggs for Thanksgiving. 😉

However I also make pecan pie, we're 100% smoked turkey, but there isn't a green bean casserole to be found. We're a little hodge podge of all over.

Green bean casserole is way better updated to green beans with fresh mushrooms and bacon bits. Campbell's soup cooking is a little passe.

My present state says mac and cheese, my previous says turkey, and I had neither. Oh, dear.

Our relatives who drove in from MA brought home made cranberry sauce. That's what the map says they're supposed to do.

I made a pumpkin pie. That's what the map says I'm supposed to do.

I like pecan pie but can only eat a teaspoon full because it's so rich and sweet.

TN had sweet potatoes. I’m fine with a baked sweet potato
