What the hell are you talking about? I mean, I genuinely like Taco Bell, but spicy, full piece of bone-in fried chicken places like Popeyes, Church's, and Bojangles' are all better fast food places IMO. (To be fair, it appears none of them are in State College and neither Church's nor Bojangles has locations anywhere near State College.) As for authentic Mexican food, many places aren't that expensive (can get a good meal for less than $20 including tip) and most of them are distinctly better than Taco Bell.
Where Taco Bell wins is it is probably the best fast food place with a lot of locations where you can reasonably good food very cheap. That last factor is a big reason why many college students like Taco Bell.
