So many people like medium rare - blech! Steak I can handle medium (not medium rare; prefer medium well); not for hamburger. Mine has to be DONE. Not charred, but no hint of pink.

The best hamburgers are made on the grill at home, preferably over charcoal, but gas grill is okay too. I don't make them very thin, but I do make sure they are cooked all the way through. I like mine with Miracle Whip (but this is optional), ketchup, mustard, lettuce, ripe SUMMER tomato, onion (Vidalia in the summer!) and avocado slices, and pickle is optional. Oh, and I mix worchestershire sauce with the hamburger and sprinkle the patties with seasoning salt and pepper.

When I eat steak I like it rare - I want to see that deep red color. However, for burgers I'll cook it all the way to med-rare so that the ground beef holds together.

As for "DONE" - blech, who eats gray meat?

While i like my steaks medium rare hamburger meat is another matter as undercooked hamburger read pink in the middle can be dangerous, i find it hard to believe a burger thats pink in the middle has reached a safe internal temperature of 160 degrees.=

I like my hamburgers cooked through, add lettuce/tomato and some green relish.

Evenly thick, course ground, sirloin. Wood grilled to Medium - no red, a bit of pink but not burnt. Add Swiss on anything either really soft OR toasted without seeds in or on it. Tasty.

Now let's talk about sides.......baked beans on the runny side so I can dip my burger in it.

I like my burgers made with 80/20 ground beef. I like a thin patty that's cooked thoroughly but not burned. I like it cooked on a well-seasoned grill just like the one at J & W Burgers in Chickasha, Oklahoma. They have the best burgers, I think. The buns are warmed on the grill and that just adds to the flavor. I make a good burger at home, but I'd take a J & W burger any day of the week over my own homemade.

I like my burger with mustard, cheese, lettuce and pickles. That's it. My husband likes his with mayo, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions that have been cooked on top of the meat patty. We also like an order of crispy fries with the burgers.

Wow! Now I am craving a J & W burger with fries. When husband gets home from the golf course, I'm suggesting a road trip to Chickasha. Yum!!

Love turkey burgers made with feta and spinach.

Bacon is an option of course.

I like my burgers grilled, medium, a nice cheddar melted on top, and a little brown sauce like HP. I'll keep the produce in my salad, thank you very much. I once had a very tasty blue cheese bacon burger. I'd eat that again.

Burgers must be not thin, but not thick
Medium rare to medium with cheddar cheese melted on top
White bun
Grey Poupon on the bottom bun
Than the burger patty
Ketchup on the patty
2 dill pickle slices
1 slice tomato
very thin slice of onion
lettuce on top
Mayo on the top bun

Burger must be cut in half. A spoonful of hot (undiluted) cream of mushroom soup must be drizzled on each bite. Fries also do be dipped in said soup.

Dam, now I want a cheeseburger!!
