What? No pickles? I like pepper jack cheese and bacon on my burgers too. I wish fast food restaurants would put the condiments on both buns and not just one. Does anyone really prepare their burgers like that at home?

Default Yum!!

I'm a Southern girl, so the only burger for me is one hot off the grill with melted cheese ooey and gooey, crisp lettuce, onions, tomatoes, pickles, jalapenos, ketchup, and TOASTED BUNS. That is very important--the toasted buns. DELICIOUS!!!! Gotta go spark up the grill now....

I didn't see any sliced dill pickles on your list.

The classic Carolina hamburger is known to have chili and cole slaw.

I just like the veggies and nothing gooey like mayonnaise, etc. I have used just shredded cabbage. It is really good on a hamburger when it is the only thing you put on it. Toasted buns are good as long as no butter or grease of any kind is used in toasting.

Default My Burger

How do I like mine? Generally with my patty charbroiled and cooked medium. I like most toppings, but will never eat mayo. Ever. I'll always try to be creative if I crave something new. A good topping down here in Texas is guacamole. And since hamburger is basically chopped steak, I occasionally like some steak sauce, bacon and grilled onions. For the most part, I'm very traditional (ketchup, mustard, onions, pickles, lettuce, tomato).

About 10 years ago my son discovered BBQ sause, never having ketchup again. Even though my (personal) options have been polled, I said I'd make a mention of his preference of BBQ sause.

Someone mentioned Pepper Jack & Swiss cheese, anyone like Provolone?
