I've never even heard of many (most?) of these, but there is one that I couldn't ignore. Told Gold Honey Mustard Pretzels. Not MY favorite, but DH liked them. Easily substituted by Snyder's Pieces Honey Mustard and Onion flavor. We both think they are superior.
I truly seriously miss Nestles Quik Banana flavor. [insert crying face imogi here]
I remember most of them being advertised, but the only one I ever ate was the original Butterfinger. Last time I got one I thought it didn't taste right. Now I know why.
Yeah, actually, quite a few of these, though I have t had them since I was a child, so it’s more nostalgia than actual sadness. Dunkaroos, shark bites, trix yogurt...
...I don’t have much of a sweet tooth these days, so I’m partly to blame for the losses!
it's not a snack or a drink, but the food i miss most that is no longer available
is the French Vanilla flavored instant oatmeal by Quaker. best ever.
i still eat Quaker oatmeal every day and love it (well, thanks to the add-ins which i put in myself: peaches, banana, apricots, blueberries). but if i'd known they were going to discontinue the French vanilla oatmeal, i would have bought one or two hundred boxes.

Same for me, except that I haven't had a Butterfinger since . . . maybe . . . 2000 or so? So I haven't tasted the new one.
^ They were damn good. The current ones are awful.
Oh, I agree. The old McDonald's fried hand pies were excellent. Back in the day McDonald's fried them in an oil mix that was 70% vegetable oil and 30% tallow. (Yes, beef lard!) They used the same oil mix for the French fries, and they were 10 times better than the pathetic fries that McDonald's has today.
The ignorant, self-righteous "food police" made McDonald's change the oil to 100% vegetable oil and demanded that they bake the pies. I remember at the time that even Julia Childs knocked McDonald's for bowing to the food police. (It was a travesty in Julia's book.) How have the French made their French fries for centuries? They use 70% neutral oil and 30% tallow, and that's the way Julia Childs made her frites.
