I don't care for canned broth, so if I don't have time/supplies to make my own stock, I use Better than Bouillon, which is a jarred concentrate. It is really good and you can make it as strong as you like. They have a low sodium option, too.

I also like their vegetable base.

College Inn traditionally used to top the lists whenever there was a serious comparison.

I just found this, though, from the New York Times:

The Best Chicken Broth and Stock You Can Get in the Store

I second the Better than Bouillon, I buy the Chicken & the vegetable one, both very good.

I agree with both saibot and evening sun. I use all of the Better than Bouillon bases. They store in the fridge, are concentrated, so last a long time. Take up very little space in the fridge door. They also taste great.

We are big fans as well, and just saw the commercial for their new "Culinary Collection". Has anyone tried them?

I had not seen those, but wouldn't mind trying the chipotle base in some black beans!

Kitchen Basics is the best, been using it for years. Most grocery stores carry it.
