You could have described me and my kids (I seem to remember my dad and brothers eating giant bowls of ice cream, too---not my mom though)
This is why I rarely buy ice cream.
The other day I went to get some for some visitnig kids, and found a spoon frozen into the container.
Apparently, some kid of mine must have been sneaking ice cream out of the container when no one was looking!
I remember, when I was pregnant, my son coming out of his bedroom in the morning to find me eating out of the half gallon box. His face brightened, "can I have some?" What could I say? I had to give him some, at 7am.
Like I said, I cannot buy ice cream. It's too dangerous.
On the flip side, having your own ice cream maker is great because you only make a little at a time. And since you have to work to make it, it is better and you can get away with eating less of it.
Exactly what I did when I was preggers! Hmmmm. Delish!
You can leave that little amount in the freezer. It takes up valuable space for ... more ice cream! LOL
