We did that in WV as well as in SC. My husband just started doing that after we moved to SC and I did it all the time back in WV, strawberry or grape is really good with it.
When I was in elementary school they served "pear salad", which was nothing but a pear slice with mayo and shredded cheese. It was disgusting back then and still is!
This sounds so weird, but it is just great....Make a peanut butter sandwich (I prefer crunchy) and eat dill pickles with it. I love 'Gus's Dill Pickles' but they are hard to find here in SW Florida. This brand of pickles are very garlicky....Just try it. You won't be disappointed!
When people go out to eat or when you have a large family gathering and a home cooked meal, this guilty practices become most evident.
When my father remarried long ago, we became a blended family, I know had step siblings and relatives I ha grown up half of my life without, so some of their practices or lack of practice seemed strange to me and vice versa.
- I put peanut butter on my waffles. They said this was very bizarre, as they only use butter.
- A recent practice, I put syrup on my scrambled eggs.
- My family will put gravy on oven roasted ham, I guess a lot of people are used to eating it without drizzling gravy on it?
- I know people who will dip their french fries in milk shakes.
That's about all I can think of off the top of my head, I'm sure there are more that I am guilty of, just haven't come to me at this moment. So what are some strange practices you do?
